What is Production Crew?
Becoming apart of the crew for a production provides you with the unique opportunity to participate in the theatre environment without being on stage, as well as learn from the creative team on all aspects regarding the creation of a show. The crew for a show includes a variety of positions including costume design, hair and makeup, props and set design, construction, and stage crew. Details for each role are included in the application form, please review the form before filling and submitting.
Qualifications
- As a levy group at Trent University, we require our total membership to be comprised of at least 60% levy paying members. This means our applications are open to Trent University students as well as members of the greater Peterborough community.
- As a member of the Production Crew, the necessary time commitment will vary depending on your role. Stage Managers will be required to follow the expectations outlined in the Code of Conduct. Other roles will require an estimated 5-10 hours per week, likely to increase as the show dates approach.
- At ASTC, we believe in providing opportunity. This means we do not have any required skills besides a passion and drive to succeed in the desired role. When considering multiple candidates for any role, skills and experience will be evaluated.
- Interviews are conducted by a member from the desired production's creative team.
