Welcome to Anne Shirley Theatre Company's 23rd season!
For our 23rd season, we will be producing two full-scale productions. We are thrilled to continue working on bigger and better productions thanks to your support. With our strong success last season, we are hungry to continue to entice and include everyone back into the arts.
We are excited to announce our two productions for our 2025/2026 season!
Our annual play directed by Ty McKeen is 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, written by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood.
It’s 1956 and The Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are having their annual quiche breakfast. As the assembled “widows” await the announcement of the society's prize-winning quiche, the atomic bomb sirens sound! Has the Communist threat come to pass? How will the “widows” respond as their idyllic town and lifestyle faces attacks?
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film. Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love. At the center of this fairy tale are Princesses Anna and Elsa. When Elsa's long-concealed magic powers are finally unleashed, she flees into the mountains, far away from Arendelle. As a dangerous and chilling winter descends on the kingdom, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home - with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.
All profits from ticket sales for the Anne Shirley Theatre Company go directly back into financing our productions and events. Anne Shirley Theatre Company is a not-for-profit student organization at Trent University, registered as a levy group with the Trent Central Student Association.
